Though we recently reached our original goal of $7,000 in donations toward Tales & Tails 2021, we are still in need. Donations exceeding cost of our 2021 performance will be applied toward props, costumes, and scholarships for Tales & Tails 2022. Consider your donation the cost of a ticket purchase.
Now more than ever our young people need encouraging experiences which build community. CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory presents: The Tales & Tails of Folks & Fairies, a time-honored performance for dancers ages 7-18.
Over the past 12 months, CREO students have been rehearsing and preparing in faith for a performance they were unsure would happen. Why? Because it gave them a goal and it brought them together in community. Even when we couldn't rehearse in person together, we enjoyed learning dances online. It has been a grand growing experience, one we will never forget.
In December, we made the decision to film The Tales & Tails of Folks & Fairies in our 1,500 sq ft studio rather than perform it live in a theater. This decision allows us to gift a larger audience with the opportunity to view the performance. It also offers dancers an innovative experience in creating dance for film.
This year we are unable to recover costs through ticketing. Even though we are not performing in a theater, our performance is costly. Your donation to our project will help us pay for:
Light unit rental
Rigging
Lighting design
Filming
Editing
Professional narrator
Props
Pipe and drape
Your support will allow our program to continue to encourage young people toward art as a form of expression and community. Our children need outlets like this one during this season. We are grateful for any help you can offer.
