Hello lovely people, Ben Mcbain and I are raising money for an initiative we are bringing to life in November this year (2022).

We have partnered with The Alsama Project, an organisation that has set up key education, sport and social centres in refugee camps in Lebanon [ https://alsamaproject.com/ ]. This has given us the foundations to build Tales of Art, an initiative bringing art workshops to classes of refugees with the aim to put on an exhibition showcasing their work.

Art has power, through this medium we are hoping to encourage confidence growth, give the students tools to translate their personal stories into colour, sculpture, and form, and allow for their creative imaginations to run wild in order to produce works of art they can be proud of.

The final exhibition will be made up of pieces of art that carry emotion, represent experiences and reveal what it is truly like to grow up as a Syrian refugee in Beirut.

All donations will go directly to making this initiative happen, including buying art supplies, providing our students with individual sketchbooks, renting key spaces to make the art come to life, and allowing the students to fully experience art and gain the benefits of its power.

Any donations would be incredibly appreciated, we hope to make this an initiative that will inspire young refugees to dream big and think outside the box in order to gain some solace from a life of many challenges.
