Talbott-Apangalook Cabin Fire Relief

My dad Craig and Aunt Barbs cabin burnt down early morning of February 2nd, out in Houston, Alaska. Both him and my aunt are alive, but we lost Nellie our little 9 year old chi-weenie. We’re so heartbroken and at a loss for words for the loss of the cabin and Nellie but so thankful the Lord was watching over those two & they have their lives. My dad is in critical care at ANMC, he tried to save Nellie and got burns all over his body. Barb is doing okay so far but is hurting & will be staying with her son Robert at his house for now. It hurts my heart to not be able to see them, and just the day before yesterday all three of them came to drop off groceries to the door for my boyfriend and I while we’re in quarantine at with Covid-19. I want to see them terribly but our quarantine dates end on the 8-10th but we have to wait to be symptom free, we hope to move them in with us once we are Covid clear. We’re just heartbroken & can’t believe all the loss. The loss of life and memories, everything. My dads been collecting priceless art for decades, barb too along with all her truly beautiful sewing materials. All the photos and mementos are gone. Pray for them. The universe works in mysterious ways, all we we can do is be strong and pray and rebuild together with family, friends, and our community. We started this fundraiser for them because these two have always given the food off their plates and clothes off their backs to those more fortunate than them and have never asked for anything in return or ever to begin with. They just give the most love to everyone they know, no matter what and they deserve a new start. I want us to show them how much they’re loved and this goal will be so they can buy materials to rebuild a new home and replace what we can to get them both back on their feet, items like clothes, shoes and daily necessities. Everything to them for what they lost in the fire. We’re not sure where to begin but everything helps, no matter the size or importance. Barb lost her phone too and her main contact is currently Robert. They are in need of underwear/socks/cold weather clothing and shoes. Items can be  dropped off to a few locations in Anchorage and Wasilla or even mailed. We have healthy friends/family also able to pick up and deliver items too as long as your covid safe.
