In loving memory of my Father Stephan Eric Alexander
June 25, 1950 - August 25, 2016
My name is Vaydra and I am raising money to help pay for my dad's memorial and resting place.
My father was a musician so we never had a lot of money, we lived paycheck to paycheck but money didn't matter it was always about family and love for the arts. I remember as a child I would go to my dads jam sessions and I would watch him sing and play music for hours on end. He was an Amazing Singer with so much soul.
He had a love for photography as well as astronomy and together we would watch the stars at night, through his telescope and take pictures of the planets. I remember once when I was about 11 years old my dad let me stay up (my mom wasn't so happy about this) on a school night to watch a meteor shower, it was incredible and one of the most amzing things I have ever seen!
My dad loved animals, we practically had zoo... All my friends wanted to come over and see all my wonderful pets. Well, I mean we had a rabbit, a parrot, 15 different reptiles (monitor lizard, iguana, gecko, about 10 chameleons, a spider monkey lizard that looked like an alien) baby chicks, a duck, a snapping turtle and of course two dogs.
Seven years ago my dad relocated to Utah and since then has touched so many peoples lives and has truly made his place in the community as a friend and mentor. He always spoke from the heart and never judged but would call you out on your bullshit. To him what you carried in your heart is all that mattered. He has helped so many people especially those who had very little. He helped people who suffered from addiction, his neighbors and anyone who he came in contact with. Not only with his advice and the things he could spare, but with his uplifting personality. He could light up any room with a smile. He was loved by many and made friends everywhere he went.
This small summary does not due my dad justice and if you knew him personally or had the chance to met him you understand what I mean.
He will be miss by so very many, but most of all me!!
I would like to honor his memory:
