It's not far from the day to take the plunge, if you would like to join us please just send a message, we shall confirm time, venue etc beforehand and if you can spare a small (or big) donation over the Christmas that would be fantastic.
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and hopefully lets start 2026 by doing something amazing for Hugh and his family
On January 10th 2026 we are taking the plunge in support of our amazing friend Hugh McEnaney. Hugh's many friends are gathering to brave the Irish Sea in support of Hugh and to fundraise for his cancer treatment. Wetsuits are NOT allowed and togs are optional!!!
Hugh, a great friend, devoted teacher, actor, husband, and father, has spent the past three months bravely battling pancreatic cancer. What began as a fight with daily medications and bi-weekly chemotherapy sessions has become a race against time — and hope is now resting on a breakthrough treatment.
Just a year ago, Hugh was planning weekends with his family and working on creative projects. Today, he’s facing the unimaginable: planning for his family’s future in case he’s no longer there to share it.
But there is hope. With access to state-of-the-art immunotherapy, Hugh has a real chance to continue his story — to watch his daughter, Alexandra, grow into the remarkable young woman he knows she will become, and to share many more years with his loving wife, Olga.
We are asking for your help to raise €20,000 to make this life-saving treatment possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings Hugh closer to more time, more memories, and more life.
I have know Hugh since our school days and I can honestly say I have never met someone so giving of their time, whether fundraising for a good cause, promoting start-ups or volunteering, Hugh is first in line. I am reaching out to anyone who can help someone who has helped so many others. Any donations big or small are truly appreciated.
❤️ Please help Hugh keep fighting — for love, for family, and for the future he still dreams of.
