My name is Scott McDonald, and this coming January, I will begin the journey of a lifetime — one that I hope will inspire many others as well. I’m writing you today to ask for your support as I will be attempting to run the full length of the Baja California peninsula on foot, establishing the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for this route.

While this endurance challenge is a personal goal, it is also a mission to raise awareness and support for education in Baja California. I have partnered with the nonprofit organization, Club Las Amigas, to help raise the $20,000 urgently needed to purchase a dependable bus for the students attending Escuela Tecnica in San Felipe.
Will you make your best gift before January 2nd, when I begin this journey?

If 200 people like yourself made a gift of just $100, we can ensure students have safe and reliable transportation to school. Without a bus, students will have to walk to school. Some may not be able to attend due to the distance. Your generous gift today will help children stay in school so they can have the brightest futures possible.

Your support right now will make a big difference to the students and community in San Felipe, as well as for all who call Baja home.
The run will cover approximately 1,500 kilometers (939 miles), beginning at the Mexico–U.S. border in Mexicali and finishing in Cabo San Lucas, following the main highways along the way. My goal is to complete this journey within one month.

This project will be GPS-tracked and broadcast through social media, highlighting the incredible landscapes, people, and municipalities that make Baja so unique. Along the route, I will collaborate with local communities to promote the educational cause and spotlight the strength and spirit of Baja California.

Your support will help amplify this effort and make a tangible and meaningful impact. Together, we can bring attention to both the beauty of Baja and the importance of investing in its future through education.

Can I count on your help today?

Thank you for showing how much you care through your involvement in this project. You are able to connect with me and follow along via the links below. Together, we are taking steps toward making education accessible to all, and every step counts.

Gratefully,

Scott McDonald
