Reclaiming My Life From Financial Audit: A Legal Action Fund

Donation protected
I am taking legal action against Caleb Hammer and Hammer Media LLC to reclaim my life following three years of defamation. This fund will ensure that justice is decided by facts in a court of law, not by who has more followers or expensive lawyers.

The Backstory: A Three-Year Character Assassination
Since early 2023, I have been a recurring "character" (AKA: Taquito Man) on Financial Audit, now the #7 YouTube podcast in the nation. What began with taking an exciting chance on a new creator—whom I performed with in good faith at a token wage—has devolved into an inescapable nightmare.

As an award-winning digital media professional, I’ve watched my identity be replaced by defamatory caricatures that I never agreed to. I have been defamed as unwilling to work, a "dangerous threat" and a "scary stalker" to drive clicks and sell subscriptions, without my consent.

The Cycle of Broken Promises and Fraud
Why did I return to the show twice more? It’s a fair question. Each time, I was recruited and fraudulently induced by a new Casting Producer promising a "redemptive arc"—the chance I needed to stop the onslaught of targeted harassment both online and in real life. Instead, those subsequent appearances were used to exact further defamation.

2023: I was framed without my consent as a man-child who "refuses to work." In reality, I was freelancing and explicitly stated my willingness to take any jobs I was capable of doing. I even agreed to try Uber Eats, in that episode!
2024: I was branded a violent criminal based on the false claim that I sent Hammer death threats. In reality, I relayed threats I had received from Caleb’s vicious followers to Hammer Media, desperately seeking help from the show because the show’s characterizations had made my life hostile and unsafe.
2025 (The Final Straw): I was branded a "scary stalker" of a new Casting Producer in a deplorable teaser designed to sell subscriptions. In reality, that same producer had emailed me that very day praising my performance and how good it was to work with me. I do not even know her last name.

I'm Just A Guy, Hammer is a Media Company
Caleb Hammer has profited immensely at the expense of my character, while I suffered the real-world fallout. I am now convinced these defamatory acts were committed with intent and malice. Caleb is aware of my health and financial vulnerabilities; he is counting on them. He has openly challenged me to sue him, suggesting he will win simply because he has expensive lawyers.

I've tried to deliver on his request. I've exhaustingly searched to find an attorney who will take action on my case on a contingency basis. I receive a great deal of positive assurance about my story and the merits of my claims, but the fact is: I need legal funds.

To mount a credible challenge against a well-funded media company solely-owned by a hardheaded ego (Caleb Hammer), I'll need both support and money. This Legal Action Fund will ensure my case moves forward diligently, without being bullied into a premature settlement.

I have a board-certified attorney specialized in media and defamation law ready to play ball with an initial retainer.

Where Your Support Goes
  • Legal Retraction Demands: Formal notices required to initiate the suit.
  • Building & Filing the Complaint: Drafting the "Statement of Facts," substantiating damages, and court costs.
  • Survival & Stability: Ensuring I cannot be "out-spent" into silence while I dedicate my time to recovery and this high-profile legal battle.

The House That Defamed Taquitos Built
I aim to finally bring Financial Audit’s “taquito saga” to a close with the binding finality of a reasonable settlement or court-order. Any damages awarded will go toward recouping my mental healthcare expenses and rebuilding a stable, peaceful and productive life. My actual life.

I hope to serve Caleb Hammer a dose of the accountability he outrageously demands of his guests. He may be a YouTuber, but that doesn't mean he's not subject to media ethics and actual defamation law.

If my defamation complaint proves successful, perhaps I will build a modest craftsman home out in the country. I shall christen it "The House That Defamed Taquitos Built"—a reminder that you cannot build a media empire upon the defamatory destruction of another person's dignity, even if they’re struggling.

Thank you for your support. I am immensely grateful for the chance to reclaim my real life, and hope to pay it forward when I am able.

In court, there is no such thing as a "LoLcow" — whatever that means.
