Taking John Hawker to Rest in the Trees
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the death of Los Molinos local, John Hawker. As a painter, avid rock & petrified wood collector, and lover of life, John passed in his sleep at the age of 62.
John leaves behind his two children, Phylicia (27) and Jared (26), along with many other loved ones and friends. If you knew John, you’d know how much he loved to connect with everyone he could. From the countless clients he painted for: to the staff at Sue’s (now Jack’s) and the barista’s at Bellacino’s: to anyone and everyone that would listen about his new rock he found on his latest hike; his spirit and kind heart won over the love of many.
It is an understatement to say that our family is stunned and saddened by this loss. Unfortunately, in contrast to the overwhelming grief our family is met with, we’re not financially prepared for such a shocking event. We are raising money to assist with cremation costs, memorial service expenses, and to help aid in this unexpected need for time off from work as the family deals with this loss.
With the help of your donations, we are planning a modest but proper ceremony to celebrate John’s life. Following the celebration, Phylicia and Jared plan to take John on one final adventure, to his favorite fishing spot to be spread among the spirits in the trees.
Thank you so much for even considering to donate and for taking the time to read about our wonderful dad. If anyone should be so inclined, letters/correspondences can be sent to the following:

We miss him with everything in our beings, and so badly want to give him the send off he deserves.
Sincerely,
Johnny Hawker’s kids. ♥️
