Hi everyone, my name is Carrie. My 81 year old mother lives in a manufactured home on about an acre of land near the foothills in Queen Creek, Arizona. While some days are better than others, she is chugging along and still going strong. Also living with her is a cat community and they have gotten really comfortable in the crawl space underneath her home, so much so that they have crushed and disconnected the flexible ac duct that provides cool air from one side of her home to the other. If you’ve been tracking the weather at all in Arizona, you know it’s been brutally hot here.

While the cats think it is great to have such a large air cooled space all to themselves, it’s not great for mom, so we are trying to do the best we can for both. We absolutely have to fix the flexible AC ductwork and in doing so we have to get the cats out from underneath the home. Our primary concerns are to make sure they are as safe as possible no longer being able to get under the home, begin a proper Trap-Neuter-Return process with the adult cats and to trap, socialize, spay/neuter and adopt out as many of the kittens as we can. They are so adorable and deserve a safe and loving chance at life.

Sounds like a lot, it is. I will be one hundred percent transparent in telling you I am so overwhelmed. I love animals so much and to be responsible for trying to fix everything for both mom and them without the proper resources has been so heavy. Neither she nor I can do it without your help. We need you.

The money donated will be going toward the parts and installation of the flexible AC ductwork,TNR for cats and kitten care, food and supplies for cats as they will continue to live on the property as a managed community. There are currently approximately 12 cats and 8+ kittens. Any additional donations will be used to help other cat communities in our area. I will be over the moon if that happens.
