Taking Care of Sheryl

For those of you who do not know me, I’m Stacey Minton, one of Sheryl Bonner’s best friends.
After receiving countless requests from people asking how they could help Sheryl while she battled Stage IV Malignant Melanoma (and with Sheryl’s approval), I started this GoFundMe campaign to assist her with a variety of miscellaneous expenses including house cleaning, pet related care, and other care, services or supplies needed by Sheryl or her kids. It was also to assist her in covering her daily expenses if or when she exhausted her paid time off.
Initially and again at Sheryl’s request, deposits were set to come to me so that I could arrange and pay for such things on her behalf. To date, the only funds that have been used were for house cleaning and to purchase an adjustable base for her mattress for use once she came home from the hospital.
Sheryl was given access to the GoFundMe as well, so that she could see each donation, along with your sweet, encouraging comments.
Just before Sheryl’s passing on Thursday, January 31, 2019, I changed the account for deposits to an account set up by her brother, Shawn Nicholson (executor of her estate) for the use of handling the financial affairs of Sheryl & her children. All unused funds to-date will then become part of Sheryl’s estate. A full accounting of the funds will also be provided.
