Taking Care of Ralf's Family
My son Ralf loved his family above all. His daughter and his wife were his life and everything he did was for them and their lives together.
On June 16th 2018, 10 days before his 46th birthday, his life was cut short. At the time of this writing I don't know the cause of his death yet.
I am his mother and I loved and love my son more than word can say. I've always said that he turned out fantastic - in spite of me. Ralf was a wonderful man. He helped whomever asked for help. But if he could find a way to bring humor, sometimes sarcastic humor, into the picture, he would. We lived far apart, I in California and he in Minnesota. He did not like being on the telephone, but he always took the time to answer my calls, even if just to say "I'll have to call you back mom!"
Their daughter came along late in life and each time I saw him with his daughter, the love and pride would just beam out of his baby blues and his kind face.
He and his wife did not have a lot of financial blessings, and even though my husband and I will be helping, his death will put his family in financial peril.
We are planning his funeral as I write this. My son requested a green funeral, and that is what he shall have. The funds will go to cover any expenses , we can't cover. Anything extra will be in an account to help my grand daughter in her life without her father.
As you may well imagine, we are devastated. Any help you send our way will be greatly appreciated.
