Taking Care of Kitties!

Hi! We are Mercedes and Andrés Hilario: your resident Cat Lovers! We moved into an apartment in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic last year. One of the neighbours years ago brought cats with him, but he no longer lives here and the situation has gone wild! They are now street cats who don't get regularly fed and keep having kittens because no one has stepped up to handle the vet visits until now.

If you follow either of us on Instagram, you would have seen that we adopted 4 mama cats and all their babies (there were 19 of them!) and have been taking care of them in our home since. Now, all the babies have been adopted into incredibly amazing and loving homes! But we still have the 4 mamas that we need to get spayed before anything else can happen regarding their adoptions. (BTW, these are just a few of the cats that have lived here from downstairs in our parking lot, there are at least 6 others still outside that also need to get spayed/neutered and hopefully adopted).

We have funded all their food and vet visits ourselves until now. These surgeries can be very expensive, and sadly there aren't any foundations that could take over for us like there are in other countries. Cats are unfortunately very invasive, plus I cannot stand having to see them so skinny and fighting over food and safety. So, we're asking you for your help! Anything you might be able to contribute will help us more than you think! The funds we raise will go toward the surgeries and so that we can continue feeding all these cuties.
