Taking Care of Alayna
Donation protected
As many of you know, my daughter, Alayna, was born with Down Syndrome and a heart defect. We moved from Klamath to Medford to be closer to medical care, so I had to leave my teaching job which was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make because my students were everything to me.
During her short life, Alayna has been hospitalized 4 times and this time has been the worst. She caught RSV, and her little lungs are struggling to fight it off. Her heart defect has made the struggle even more difficult. She is currently on a ventilator and breathing treatments every few hours. They have paralyzed her little body so that she can rest and heal.
Awhile back, I got a teaching job which was going to help take care of Alayna and hopefully help us get our own place; however, we are currently in the hospital with no end in sight, so I had to decline the job offer. This was another difficult decision, but I need to be here in Portland for my daughter.
I am asking for help to not only support Alayna and I here in the hospital but also to help us get on our feet once we get to go home. Thank you to anyone who reads, donates, or shares this fundraiser.
