First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your love, support, prayers, and uplifting messages. Your prayers have sustained me and have brought me to a place of peaceful acceptance of whatever the next three weeks has in store for me.
I have had an ongoing heart condition that includes both a very high pulse and very high blood pressure, and these episodes cause me to blackout and/or pass-out. For these issues, I have seen both a cardiologist and nephrologist here in Wichita. Both doctors have run out of treatmeant options and are still struggling to find the true cause of my episodes.
My cardiologist and other medical professionals have since recommended that I take my case to the next level by undergoing a complete workup at the Mayo clinic. At this point, we are prepared for whatever they have to suggest, including a cardiac ablation.
On May 7th, my parents, my sister, and I will be leaving for the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona and we are prepared to be there for approximately two-weeks (give or take, including drive-time). Right now these are the details that I have to share: God has graciously provided housing for the time we are in the Phoenix area, I am scheduled for my first appointment in cardiology with Dr. Naqvi on May 10th, at 8:00am. We anticipate our need to cover food, gas, hotel on the way out and way back, along with medical expenses and lost wages for both myself and my mom.
I've been approached by some friends asking how they can help or support my family during this time. While we appreciate any monetary donations, we absolutely covet your prayers.
For all who wish to follow my journey, my mom will be sending out routine updates via her Facebook page. I will also update this GoFundMe account along with my Facebook page as I am physically able.
