Taking Back Niki Black

Last week I reached out to you regaurding a family that has recently come out with being victims-survivors as domestic violence. Ive kmown this family for 2 decades now.This has been a very challenging year, even decade for this family. There are 5 extraordinary children in the household and of course their beautiful 35 year old mother. Children all in school from the University of Arkansas down to Head Start, ages 18, 13, 10, 4, and 3. And their mother as a waitress that works graveyard shift and is also trying to complete her nursing program while surviving some heavy stuff. Some of you know may know her and for those of you that don't this is a woman with so much outstanding charisma, overwhelming empathy, inspiring potential, and the integrity she has for this families survival has moved us all. Although she's very outspoken this is something that she could never release from her lips. Shes ended a cycle after suffering physical, emotional, verbal and financial abuse. Coated in romantic manipulation, and unstable toxic codependency from what she thought was going to be the best relationship of her life. Her story started to grow darker and darker over the last year. There have been mutiple police calls, reports, gruesome pictures text and videos, three order of protection's, and now finally assault, domestic & threating charges filed but still this kept her under a rock and could not get out or retract.With things like compassionate manipulation easing back into the situation dropping order protections backing out of divorces and walking on eggshells for months. Every time a divorce is mentioned or police are called and he is removed from the home he torments and threatens to shut off utilities because they are in his name knowing it was too much of a financial struggle for her to switch them over independently, takes money, refuses to pay that goes he's responsible for, and threatens to take his son. He thrashes physical things of hers & the children's. As he has done this last two weeks even he is taking out the windows in her car smashed the children's PlayStation, laptop,furniture, and vehicle. His family unfortunately are very enabling and do not see his disease and I've already tried to sabotage the well-being of this family by saying that her allegations are only allegations, trying to Gaslight her with narcissistic responses and post completely disregardin the well fare.of the children are at risk based on physical proof! But we will not let this keep her down I've been a witness of this for far too long. I have seen my friend in all stages of this abuse financial, mental, verbal & physical. I've seen her face brused and bloodied, then on the phone with her while she's getting x-rays( 3 occasions im aware of), I've read police reports and seen text messages of him admitting these atrocities. So we reach out to you not only for deep prayer for this family but to continue to support this Warrior of a woman. She has finally used her voice and holds nothing back. She's putting all humiliation to the side and letting the world know that
"Ive lived un fear. It is not ok.but i am ok. No one is alone in this." She's worked very hard to pay for the damages he continuously causes over; Physical damage on her vehicle and her home, shutting off utilities on his children having to come up with the money for deposits, and back rent-utilites that he refuses to pay on. she has worked on multiple court cases against him and one of will hopefully be reinstated through the divorce for back bills, made to pay child support and he also will be sued civilly for damages. But as you know these things can take time. I watched this girl after he knocked her down jump right back up hit every Courthouse, sought advocation by domestic violence resource, connected even deeper with Fayetteville Police Department & Washington county(as she also at this time is in deep grief due to our fallen officers had visited with her just last week and one fallen lost to a domestic violence call.FPD & WCS officers have watched over her family, visit her work often, and have deep concern for her family)
She took on extra shifts to keep the utitlies on, fixed her windshield atleadt,transport kids, keep food on that table, find emotional support for kids, built safety network, continue future career, work overnighyw, and stay spritual through all of it! She still struggles with rent and raises a huge concern of being evicted & fear of being homeless during the holidays. There are no spots at shelters and this family deserves to stay in their home shes worked so hard for. She is well aware that she will not be able to provide Christmas for the children & is doing what she can 2 resource to get them gifts. As some of you may know there are not many resources for rent in Fayetteville or have been exhausted. So we reach out to you now please lift this family in prayer to see the light of Better Days & help support
