Taking Action on Addiction

Hey, my name is Ella and I set up Girls that Hike in February 2025. I wanted to set up a community for women to come together and get outside doing something we enjoy and also to create a safe space to support mental health after suffering an hard patch myself.

I never expected to reach such a wide audience and when I did, I wanted to use it to raise awareness and money for something important.

In September of last year, my close friend Amelia lost her childhood best friend to addiction. Seeing this and the impact addiction has on those around you was truly heart breaking and I knew I wanted to use the platform I had created to try make a change and raise awareness.

On the 2nd August 2025, we will be walking from Navenby to Lincoln Cathedral which is 17k in aid of raising awareness and money for this. If you would like to be involved please
