Taking a Dip for Adrianna!

 

Adrianna Donofrio is fighting a very brave battle against B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was diagnosed in March 2021, her treatments will last two and a half years (!) ending in August 2023. Super Strong Adrianna endures many long infusion days, blood transfusions, daily chemo pills and other medications including steroids. In addition to medications Adrianna also has many spinal tap procedures to check for cancer cells and inject chemo in her spine during each treatment phase. She is currently in one of the most grueling and painful phases of of her treatments but, as always, she is handling everything like a true rock star! She is such a strong young lady who just celebrated her 6th birthday in December. Adrianna loves to dance, ride her bike, do arts & crafts and play outside with her friends. She treasures spending time with all her family and especially enjoys Friday night movie nights and "camp" fires in the yard making s'mores!

 

Adrianna's dad Dave is my friend and colleague, he and his wife Michelle have been absolutely amazing throughout this demanding journey - all while holding down challenging careers and raising a family - NEVER complaining!

 

What better way to acknowledge this family's strength and courage than to help us hit our fundraising goal - the hope is to send Adrianna and her entire "posse" on a Dream Trip - who knows? Maybe it will include a visit to a flagship American Girl Store...

 

We are planning a Mini Polar Plunge in honor of Adrianna on January 13th and want to be able to Push the Fundraising Over the Top by then so Adrianna Can Push Us Off the Dock (virtually)!  Stay tuned  for news on a guest jumper that is to join me. We will make available a video verification of these shenanigans...
