Help Support Beloved California Teacher's Family

Donation protected
Nancy Magaña, a Southern California middle school teacher, was killed in a park in San Bernardino leaving her 5-year-old son without his mother, and loved ones and her community heartbroken.

Magaña had just wrapped up her second week of teaching seventh grade math and coaching volleyball at Del Vallejo Middle School. An athlete, Magaña played on the soccer team at San Bernardino Valley College. She refereed local soccer games and worked odd jobs to pay her way through college while raising her son.

Nancy was very giving with family, friends and her community. Her son was her world; she wanted to give him a good life and to be a good role model for him. She was excited when she accepted her very first teaching job offer this year because it would allow her to give back to her community while providing for her son. Nancy never asked for assistance and was so proud to support her little family as a single mother even when it wasn't easy. She lived paycheck to paycheck while going to school and finishing her teaching credential. Her family is brokenhearted that she was taken just as she'd fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher.

All money raised will go to Nancy's son and family. Any amount is appreciated.
