Take Warhipster to the Next Level

Hi everyone,

My name is Josh, and I'm the content creator behind the Warhipster channel on YouTube. I create Warhammer content focussing primarily on the use of Contrast Paints, Hobby how to's and general learning content for all things Games Workshop.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign because I have taken the channel as far as I can with the technology I have at my disposal. Very recently, I have been experiencing several technical difficulties that are making it increasingly difficult to continue to provide the high standard of content that I want to deliver to you, my wonderful audience.

The reality of YouTubing is that it can be a very precarious profession, and it doesn't take much to entirely tank a channel in the face of an unexpected error or technical fault. I rely on YouTube revenue as my primary source of income, and I love that I get to do this for you and for me. It is an incredibly privileged position to be in, and I'm very grateful for all of the support I have received thus far from all of you.

I'm looking, however, at ways to avoid the channel's potential tanking and to take Warhipster to the next level. Here is a list of the things I want to do, but currently I cannot due to the limitations of my systems:

What I need fundamentally is to upgrade my computer. I am currently doing everything I do for the channel using IT that isn't capable or coping with the load I'm asking it to take. To give you an example, a few weeks back I had to re edit the same video 3 times because the system couldn't process the video I was trying to make as well as conduct background tasks I needed such as maintaining backups. Last week I had to clean my hard drive and redesign all of my assets to ensure I can continue to make the videos I currently make. It requires lots of hard painful work to make sure things don't blow up and often a lot of compromising on the final product which is something I do not wish to continue doing so that I can make the best content for all of you possible!

What I want to do is Supercharge my editing station, pick up an extra camera and buy an additional dedicated system to render videos on and to use as a streaming computer to set up Warhipster for the next decade of content production. Everything I earn currently gets spent on ensuring the channel (and myself) survives, and this campaign is about securing the future.

I am looking to raise £6000 to be able to do any and all of the above, and without your support, I will not be able to do this in the short term, possibly not for a very, very long time.
