It's October and time for another of of my crazy Halloween haunts.

Every year for three decades I have worked on a home haunt in my neighborhood and each year I have tried to deliver something better, more ambitious, and more entertaining. But that also means more expenses for tentacles, coffins, body parts, costumes, blood and full size Snickers bars.

It has been 6 years since I have asked for financial help, and last year Godzilla destroyed my home!

This year we will be taking you Off World to enter the world of Aliens. And going to space to fight a xenomorph turns out to be pretty costly so I am seeking some financial assistance.

I know there are worthier social causes to donate to but I think there is also a value to scaring the crap out of kids in my neighborhood for 30 years and to providing a creative outlet to my wildly talented friends. I have someone down the street whose dad took him to my haunt 30 years ago when he was six and now he brings his six-year-old!

So if you can find it in your hearts and in your wallets to donate even just $10, that would go a long way to helping finance this year's haunt. Once again the crack haunt team has raised the bar and this year's haunt looks to be out of this world.

In the past I have done Star Wars Cantina, House of Demented Clowns, Freak Show, Cthulhu's Temple of Horror, Ride the Lightning and Hellraiser (see sample video below or watch here ).

Each year my friends travel here from around the country to volunteer their time. I am fortunate to have friends who are artists, musicians, sound designers, actors, filmmakers, and writers and they all contribute their talents to making the haunt better each year.

I am hoping to raise $2000 to offset the costs. I hate asking but my senior dog is costing me $300 a month so money is a little tight this year. I don't charge any admission and just offer this free to the neighborhood and anyone else who wants to come by and see the show.

All I can offer in return for your support is the promise that once again at least one child will run screaming from my house leaving his family and candy bag behind.
