Take Emilio to the Arctic

Hi!
I hope you’re doing great! I’m so sorry to trouble you with this. I would really appreciate it if you gave this a quick read.
I’m an UWC-USA ’13 graduate from Paraguay. I just got off the wait-list to be an UWC delegate at the Future Talks Arctic Expedition this month (Aug 24th). You can find out more about that here: https://www.futuretalks.today/arctic-expedition Long story short, in exactly 20 days, 100 really smart people from all fields, ages, and continents are going to be on a ship in the Arctic discussing the most important questions about the future of humanity. It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m immensely humbled to have been offered a spot on the ship.
The expedition itself is funded but the flights there are not. Unfortunately, I don’t have funds to get there from Paraguay. Here’s where I was thinking you could give me a hand if you would like. The funds I need are USD 2,500 for the following:
· Return flight to Oslo from Paraguay
· Hotel, two nights in Oslo
· Return flights to the Arctic from Oslo
As I mentioned, the expedition is in 20 days and I have to confirm attendance as soon as I know I can fund transportation there. That's why I only have until this Friday Aug 10 to hit my goal.
I’m happy to give you more details or connect with you via Skype. My email is: [email redacted] and Skype: emilio_us
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Emilio Rodriguez

PS:
Here is my bio in case you wanna learn more about me:
I am an UWC-USA and Colorado College alum from Paraguay. My education journey has taken me across the world. I have worked on sustainable development projects with small farmers in Jhadol, India; researched the effects of peace education in war torn Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina; and studied African genocide experiences at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. After 6 years studying abroad, I recently returned to Paraguay to teach in some of the most underprivileged classrooms here and work on projects to fight educational inequity as part of the pioneering cohort of Teach for Paraguay (Enseña por Paraguay), a member of the Teach for All network.
