Since the tender age of 4 KiAnna has been taking gymnastic classes. She has always enjoyed attending classes and as the proud mother I have enjoyed sharing her various achievements along the way with friends and family. When Gabby Douglas won gold, everyone cheered even more for Kiki. Conversations erupted and many said she could be the next Gabby Douglas (a household name)! Of course I chuckled and didn't really give it much thought. Well, earlier this month KiAnna has been invited to join a level level 3 competitve gymnastics team!!! She would skip right over level 2 and jump right into level three; how exciting right? We were all overjoyed, but while the joy still lives the reality of the expenses that are associated with this level within the sport began to settle in. I had no idea the extent of the expenses once you move up the ranks within sports on the competive side. When we began to calculate the various expenses we knew we had to do some sort of fundraiser because we simply could not afford it on our own. Keith and I sat and brainstormed all the possible things we could do; sell candy, cookie dough, catering events, and the girls bless their hearts even said they could do a lemonade stand. All of the aforementioned are great ideas, but it was not until last week at a conference that some friends suggested doing a GoFundMe account. It had never crossed my mind, but what a fantastic idea. So I am here today to ask for your support to help my baby be apart of this team. She just turned 8 in February and is clearly excelling in the sport. I don't want money to be the reason why she cannot reach her full potential and so many feel the same. No amount is too small or too large, please help us with our Golden Dream Campaign. Thank you in advance!
