I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend, Taja, who is facing a crucial moment in her journey with metastatic breast cancer (MBC).

Taja was diagnosed with MBC in June of 2023; it is a diagnosis that has turned her world upside down. Since then, she’s already been through four different lines of treatment in just over two years. Despite the relentless pace and the toll this disease has taken, she continues to show incredible courage, humor, and kindness. She’s the friend who checks in on others even when amid her own battle.

Unfortunately, her cancer has recently progressed again. She and her doctors believe it’s time for a second opinion from the experts at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, one of the world's top cancer centers. Taja has an appointment scheduled there on September 18th, where she hopes to find new treatment options that could give her more time and a better quality of life.

But traveling for specialized care comes with costs. We’re hoping to raise at least $1,500 to help cover:
