Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.

Our names are Tahjae and Taia, and we are 16-year-old twins who have been training in karate since we were just 4 years old. We train at Evolution Karate Academy in Ipswich and karate has truly become our life.

Over the years we have worked incredibly hard to achieve our black belts and have had great success in competitions across the UK and internationally. We are proud to have both become World, European, British and English Champions in our individual and team events.

To reach this level we train a minimum of 10 hours of karate every week, alongside extra training for cardio, speed, agility, reaction and plyometrics. It takes a lot of dedication and sacrifices, but we love every moment of it.

We have recently received the amazing news that we have been selected to represent Karate England at the World Championships this July. It is a huge honour and a dream opportunity for us to represent England again on the world stage.

Unfortunately karate does not receive much funding, so athletes and families must cover the costs themselves. We are therefore trying to raise £1500 to help cover flights, accommodation and transfers.
