Taggart's Funeral/Medical Expenses

This gofundme is being setup for the Phair family.
The Phairs have 5 wonderful children and were devastated after having a miscarriage last year. Their sadness was replaced with joy as Shannon carried Taggart to near term. Everyone was excited to welcome in a new baby boy!

When Taggart was born on Valentine's Day it was obvious fairly quickly that something was wrong. The doctors worked on stabilizing him at Porter Memorial but they weren't sure what all was wrong. Taggart needed a team of specialists. Taggart was transported to Comer's children's hospital in Chicago. There he was diagnosed with down syndrome, a widespread lymphatic disorder, and a host of various heart and other organ issues. The down syndrome diagnosis was a non issue for the Phair family but the lymphatic disorder was proving to be a bigger issue than originally thought for his little body.
For two months, Taggart went through test after test. He had tubes down his throat to breathe and tubes out of his sides draining fluids from his lungs. He was the topic of at least one entire conference because of the rareness of his lymphatic disorder at his age.
With the challenges Taggart faced he fought hard. He had incredibly good days and some incredibly bad days. He continued to surprise doctors and nurses with his tenacity and strength. His parents felt the love and prayers from all who supported their family as Shannon spent most of her time at his bed side. Matthew and their child over the age of 18 was able to spend time with Shannon and were able to be with Taggart to allow Shannon a break.
For just over two long months Taggart was confined to a bed and couldn't be held. Finally, he was doing well enough that Shannon and Matthew were able to hold him. I've never seen happier parents.

This happiness was short lived as his body was starting to shutdown. There wasn't any drugs that were proven to work with his condition at his age. Hope was fading that this little angel was going to be able to go home with his parents.
Sadly, the signs continued and Taggart couldn't fight any more. It was his time to return with his heavenly father as he awaits the arrival of his parents and siblings to be joined with him again. He returned April 27th.

In the short time he was here on earth he has blessed so many lives through people's service, strengthening faith, and focusing on family. He has reminded us of what is truly important here on Earth. He is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.
The expenses of almost daily travel to the hospital in Chicago and home, 2 months in the hospital, and funeral expenses are huge. However, if we can help at least with funeral expenses then we can help to move this family forward.
