Help Harlem Debate Team go to Nationals!!!
Please help send East Harlem debate team (TAG Young Scholars) go to the National Speech and Debate tournament in
Ft Lauderdale Florida.
Our debate team is a small hard working group of teens who have been actively participating in NYCUDL monthly tournaments and has qualified for both City and State Championships. Their hard work and passion for debate have always resulted in winning records for the team. In order to encourage our debate team to further advance their debate skills we would like the debate team to attend Nationals from June 17-22, 2018.
The TAG Scholars debate team this weekend advanced to the State Open Public Forum debate Finals on May 9, 2018. Another TAG team made it to the State Quarter finals
At the 2017-2018 NYCUDL City Championship the teams were Quarterfinalist and Octafinalist. The team were 2016-2017 Semifinalist and the NYCUDL City Champions!!! And the list goes on... The school does not
have the funds to send the team to the National tournament for the first time. The National tournament is a week long tournament, and we need funds for everything to get the team to the National tournament including airfare, hotel, transportation, and food. The students have worked really hard and deserves to be represented at Nationals. We would appreciate all contributions donated to the team. Thank you all for your contributions.
