Bill and Pam Short . Need I say more? Bill's the guy who wears short sleeves in winter. Many call him "Papa Bear." Bill adored his friend and wife, Pam, and she him. Bill loves HEOP and the hundreds of young scholars who know, like Bill, that "HEOP works." Pam, Mama Bear" loved her HEOP kids as well. Pam has been ill for several years, and Bill walked that road with her every step. He carried her when she could not stand. Bill spent countless hours driving to and from NYC and Buffalo. He thought little of himself and his needs. Bill was all about Pam. In addition to the tremendous expenses associated with long term illness, regardless of any assistance a family receives, there are incredible expenses over and above those basic medical and travel needs.
Perhaps those of us who know Bill and Pam can also give Bill the gift of time away, a long desired trip or vacation or a brand new canoe.
Bill has done so much for so many. For those willing and able, it's our turn now.
