Roscoe’s Recovery

Hi. This is Roscoe. He is a darling 3 year-old cat who has been through an incredibly rough time. Sadly, he has experienced serious burns to all four paws and an injury to his eye. He is malnourished and has had his fur and whiskers cut. He has been in hospital for the last few days but is now recovering in our home. We have been advised that his ongoing medical treatment could take months. He will need daily vet visits for at least the next 2 weeks. He needs to be sedated at each visit for his wounds to be cleaned and rebandaged. After that it will be visits every 2-3 days. He requires antibiotics, pain relief, eye drops and special care food. There is also concern that one of his burns is so extensive (back leg) his toes may need amputation.

Given all he has been through, the little dude is extremely determined to survive and has an astoundingly loving spirit and deeply trusting manner. All the vet staff he has met cannot believe how strong his will to live is. Our son has said “we can’t give up on him if he’s not giving up on himself!”

We are looking at very significant financial impacts and are reaching out to ask for any contributions to support his urgent treatment needs.
