Want to join us in making a difference for women around the world? Under the Sisterhood is launching a fundraising campaign to benefit our not-for-profit arm, Sistergood Inc. Donations will help educate, empower, and make an impact in young girls and women’s lives in developing nations. 

Our Story: Under the Sisterhood

We launched Under the Sisterhood on Women’s Equality Day, August 26, 2022. We celebrated with a sister circle. It was such a deep connective experience we wanted to keep the sister circles going. The act of bringing women together to create a positive community where women share and support one another is powerful. We now have a community of thousands of women from 34 countries sharing their female experiences, their “superpowers” and how they help support other women.

As women from developing countries shared in and were a part of this experience, a global sisterhood was born. They also saw the need for sisterhoods in their own countries where they could discuss the local barriers to education, equality, and health, as well as strategies to overcome them. In response to that, Sistergood Inc. emerged. 

Our Story: Sistergood

Sistergood, a not-for-profit organization building sisterhoods in developing countries, launched on International Women's Day, March 8, 2023. We've had an ambitious start, launching wellbeing programs in:

Pakistan - October 2022 - 2023

Costa Rica, and Jamaica - March 2023

Ghana - November 2023 - 2024

Liberia - January 2024 - ongoing

The purpose of Sistergood is to provide facilitated learning and guide young girls and women into developing skills for self-discovery, self-care, and self-expression. Our weekly 1-hour programming equips women with strategies and tools to strengthen their physical and mental well-being, encourages them to become actively engaged in their communities, and empowers them to become leaders.

Your donation supports:

• $5,000 donation sponsors a 12-week wellness program for a cohort of 24 women

• $2500 donation sponsors 12 women for 6-week wellness program

• $1000 donation sponsors a sister from a developing country podcast

• $200 donation sponsors one woman for 12 weeks of programming

• $100 donation sponsors one woman for 6-weeks of programming
