Help bring Taeha home!!!

He is currently sitting in Adelanto Detention facility awaiting release on bond. My husband, Taeha, has lived in the United States since he was just three months old. He is Korean-American and truly one of the most generous, hilarious, and intelligent people you could ever meet. When I first met him in Los Angeles, I was immediately drawn to his contagious laugh, his compassionate kindness, and the graceful way he carried himself.

Taeha has had to be strong from a very young age. When he was a child, his sister was diagnosed with cancer, and his mother’s relatives rotated caring for him during that difficult time. Despite these early challenges, he grew into a hardworking and compassionate man. For over 20 years, he has built his life in Los Angeles, working tirelessly as a waiter to support himself and contributing to his community.

We were married in February 2025 and immediately began the proper legal steps to secure his permanent green card. Our lives took an unexpected turn during our immigration appointment on October 29, 2025, when Taeha was suddenly detained.

We soon learned that in May 2024, Taeha had a scheduled court date about his prior conditional visa. Because Taeha had moved, he never received the court notices. Which resulted in a deportation order being issued and we had no idea until October 29th. On November 26th, the judge lifted the deportation order and scheduled a new hearing for March 27, 2026.

While this is a huge relief, Taeha is still being held, and we are now waiting to hear whether he can be granted bond. Taeha has always been the primary provider for our household, and the emotional and financial strain of his detention has been overwhelming.
