Hi everyone, my name is Ayah Jafar and I’m a full-time college student. My sweet cat Belly recently suffered a severe leg injury. After rushing him to the vet, I was told he needs urgent surgery that costs between $5,000–$8,000.

Before considering surgery, the vet tried putting on a splint to see if his leg could heal on its own. That treatment already cost over $1,000, and sadly, it didn’t work—the break is too severe. Now, the only options left are the surgery or an amputation, which still costs around $2,000.

I love him so much and want to give him the best chance possible to live a happy, full life with all four paws. He’s my best friend, my comfort, and my family—and it breaks my heart to think of him losing his leg just because I can’t afford the care he needs.
