tadpole. is a solo-show created and performed by Eddy Van Wyk, that will be performed at the Vancouver Fringe Festival 2019. Eddy lives, works and creates as a guest on the unceded, traditional and ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish First Nations. Eddy holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, and creates using Grotowski/clown sensibilities. tadpole.  carries you underneath the veil of mental health stigma and taboo into your playful, dark, light and sensual side. Precise physical form, obtuse vocalizations, character and delight bring together this unique piece of contemporary theatre.  


We need your help to help us fund this production. Your donations will go towards:

- venue-related costs ($1,800)

- artist fees ($700)

- costumes ($100)

- audio equipment ($100)

- set ($75)

- props ($75)

- marketing material ($150)


We have a mid-way goal of $500 for April 20, 2019 (deadline for the Fringe BYOV festival fee), and our main goal of the remaining $1,700 for August 25, 2019.



As early career artists, we have limited finances. Alexa and I are honoured and thrilled to be able to support Eddy through this creative journey. We've known Eddy for 6 years--first meeting her in university--and ever since have been greatly impacted and inspired by her talent, dedication, skill, and heart. She is magic. Your donations will help us support bringing Eddy’s work to the Fringe.
