
Tadley Fire Station 3 Peaks Challenge
On the 12th of April 2019, three firefighters from Tadley Fire Station, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, will set off to complete the national 3 peaks challenge, climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales in firefighting kit and breathing apparatus to raise money for The Firefighters Charity.
Starting in Scotland on Saturday 13th April, the team (wearing approximately 30KG of kit) will trek up and down Ben Nevis, then Scarfell Pike in England overnight then then finally finishing on Sunday 14th April with Snowdon in Wales, 24 hours later.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km), the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) and the total driving distance is 462 miles.
