Tadhg’s Interlochen Experience

My 12-year-old son, Tadhg (pronounced like Tiger minus the -er), was granted admission to the Visual Arts summer program at Interlochen Arts Academy. It is a wonderful opportunity for him. The benefits of being surrounded by peers whose ability and commitment to their craft matches his own cannot be overstated. Although he was granted some financial aid, and his grandmother is very graciously paying his camp tuition, we still need to cover the cost of transportation back and forth to Michigan as well as material and miscellaneous costs. His “major” will be drawing and painting, but he may choose photography as his “minor,” which will necessitate the purchase or loan of a good 35mm, SLR camera and film. He is going to sell some of his art and take commissions on custom pieces, but his aunt also suggested I start this gofundme for anyone who wants to chip in a few bucks for the most creative sassypants you may ever meet. Tadhg will send everyone who contributes a hand-drawn thank you card!
