This year it's Tadhg's 20th birthday on the 8th October, like how? I only spent one quarter of that time with him physically. This year I don't have the words to share to tell how much he is missed, but the tears show. He made such an impact on people's lives he met in his 5 years and is still doing that now with his fundraising. I wasn't going to do the walk this year but then heard of the fabulous and funny Yvette King's story and I thought thats a little sign from him to say 'Mam you've got to rally the troops and do my annual 5km'. I'm sure he's loving the limelight still. This is the 6th year to do it and we will be honored to do it for Yvette.

Yvette has been bravely battling Motor Neurone disease. Her journey and that of her family and friends has been made so much easier with the pallative care she has received in St Francis hospice Blanchardstown. Your donations will go towards support to other families in their time of need. So you know the drill, lace up them runners get the sweat bands out and show up for Yvette and Tadhg on the 11th October Poppintree Park at 9.30 for the park run. Run, walk, crawl or push. All welcome. Rumour has it Yvette herself might make an appearance and torment her pals. Please donate, nothing is too small.
