Howdy,
I'm doing a Taco Bell 5k. Initially I was just going to do this for fun but then I got the idea "Hey, why not get the animals something out of this" so I attached this page so you can donate to a local animal shelter that I and my fiancée, Danielle Dennis, have volunteered at. Great place with some great pups, go check it out if you want a new best friend.
Now you're probably at the point in this post where you're confused on what a Taco Bell 5k is, allow me to explain. Situated in the beautiful city of Alton, there lies 2 Taco Bells, one on Homer M. Adams Parkway and the other on Landmarks Boulevard. What makes these locations so special is that they are about 3 miles apart, a perfect distance for a mock 5k. Now you may think that all the runner has to do is run from one Taco Bell to another but you're WRONG. See the name Taco Bell 5k refers to not just a distance, but also to calories. To make this fun, the runner must consume a meal at each Taco Bell, one before the race and one after. And between both meals, the runner must have consumed 5k calories of food total. I acknowledge that this sounds like a terrible idea and you would be right but I'm doing it anyways. Weather permitting, I plan to run Saturday March 21st at 1pm. It's completely self inflicted, donate or come watch if you want! Now here's an AI overview of why you should donate to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association.
Hi, I'm Ben Herring, and I'm raising funds to support the Alton Area Animal Aid Association, an incredible organization dedicated to providing aid to needy animals. Their mission is vital, as they give a second chance to countless furry friends who need our help. Together, we can ensure that these animals receive the care and love they deserve.
Your generous donations will directly contribute to the following efforts:
- Providing essential medical care and vaccinations for rescued animals.
- Supporting food and shelter for animals in need while they await their forever homes.
Every dollar counts and will make a real difference in the lives of these animals. Please join me in supporting the Alton Area Animal Aid Association by donating today. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
