On February 19, 2015 our family received news that would test our faith, strengthen our bond, and define what makes us family. Our Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa has been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma-LUNG CANCER. As his journey begins we are all optimistic, but feeling completely helpless. His healing is in the hands of God and the doctors he has put in place to aid in his treatment. However, the financial burden is falling in the lap of two of the hardest working individuals we know. Still working in their late 60s and early 70s, not being able to consider retirement. This medical issue has the potential to financially devastate them. They both have worked so hard their whole life, the epitome of working for everything you have. It is not enough. We as a family would like to alleviate some of the added medical costs already starting to roll in and take their toll, adding unnecessary stress and worry. I know, WE KNOW, they would NEVER ask for help. They need a break so they can focus on the road ahead and what is really important – tackling this!
