Sarah is a mother of 5 awesome kids and she is 35 years old, suffering from genetically bad teeth. Her teeth are not salvageable, after speaking with specialists and getting second opinions.
Sarah and her family are a family of 7 with fixed income due being retired military. They have little to no dental insurance that covers only preventative care and she is well past that. Sarah hasn't smiled or really spoken in 15 years since her oldest was a baby. Who is now almost 16. Her goal is to get implant supported dentures to restore her smile, confidence, self worth and be able to eat and talk normally without worrying about smiling to wide or breaking a tooth.
Sarah also has a multitude of infections from her dental issues which are becoming resistant to antibiotics. She has already lost 4 on her bottom left, 2 on her top left and 2 on the right so she can’t eat well on on either side. Her incisors are a facade; they are just holes in the inside and if she bites down too hard they disintegrate. Now, she is losing teeth on the right side as well.
She is hoping to raise about 11k for full dentures, extractions and implants to hold the dentures in place. She is selling many of her personal items, cable, internet and non necessities.
This is not only important to her mental health, self worth, confidence but also her health, as infections can eventually get into the blood stream if not properly cared for. She would love to smile and talk without worrying about smiling too big for people to see and judge or eating tbe wrong food and cracking yet another tooth. She often wakes up in the middle of the night with tooth remnants in her mouth from chronic grinding as well.
