The Taiwanese American Culture Center of East Bay (TACC-EB) is founded by Dr. Daniel Ko, an 83-year-old Taiwanese American with a passion for preserving Taiwanese heritage and nurturing the next generation of Taiwanese Americans in the San Francisco East Bay Area.

Our current project is to build a lively and lasting hub so that we can share this vibrant heritage with the wider community. In partnership with the Formosan United Methodist Church of the East Bay (FUMCEB), we expect to break ground for the new center in the latter half of 2024. We're reaching out because we urgently need your amazing support to make our dream of a community center a reality. Your help means the world to us!

Main Functions of TACC-EB
  • Teach Cultural Inheritance: The center will provide space for language education, cultural preservation, and the promotion of Taiwanese traditions and folk art.
  • Archive Our History: TACC-EB will house an interactive library and exhibit area, showcasing Taiwanese heritage and culture to educate both children and adults.
  • Serve Our Community: The center will support new immigrants, provide a haven for Taiwanese American youth, and rejuvenate FUMCEB to ensure it remains a hub for the community. TACC-EB will also collaborate with existing community service programs, expand support for the elderly, and offer help to people in need.
  • Provide a Meeting Ground: The facility will accommodate conferences, performances, exhibitions, and more, becoming a platform to showcase Taiwanese identity and culture. And it will also host various activities for different generations to mingle.

TACC-EB is a registered non-profit organization aiming to bridge generations of Taiwanese Americans, foster cultural exchange, and promote Taiwanese culture. It serves as our home base and a platform to share our unique culture with the public and support Taiwan. We hope TACC-EB will be a central gathering space for decades to come.

The Great Room features high ceilings and a generous amount of windows. Operable glass walls can be opened to the front lawn, creating an embracing and welcoming event experience.

Lobby Area and service counter have direct access to the Great Room and Library/ Exhibition space.

Two multi-function classrooms can be divided into four smaller classrooms with operable partitions, allowing a more flexible arrangement of classes and seminars.
