Taako's Surgery Funds

Hello everyone! My name is Taako, and when I was a tiny kitten my family snatched me from inside a bush in their yard and brought me inside to my now forever home. Tuesday morning I woke up and started not feeling well. I tried so hard to use the restroom and even stayed by the litter box but something was blocking me up. The vet discovered it was a urinary obstruction. I was not happy and I had to stay overnight; this also cost my moms quite a bit of money!

I have to get put on a special food now, and I got picked up and brought home the next morning after an overnight stay. I felt ok but I still couldn't use the litter box and go at all, and it is very painful. I can't eat or drink water because I don't feel well. The blockage refuses to away and now they are discussing the scary option- surgery.

Perineal Urethrostomy Surgery- "A perineal urethrostomy (sometimes referred to as a PU) is a surgical procedure that is most commonly performed on male cats with a urinary obstruction. This procedure removes the narrowest part of the urethra (the tube that transports the urine from the bladder to the exterior of the body), allowing easier urination with a lower risk of reobstruction."

This will cost a lot of money, and I have been referred to a specialist that's a couple of hours away from my home! We will be sharing all the bills and deposit costs that they will be asking for, for full transparency. Currently, the only solid bill we have is my initial overnight stay at the vet. My moms are trying really hard to save my life, and any bit would help them out so much. All funds will go towards the overnight stay and all bills that are accumulated.
