The Ralph Lauren family in Limerick, PA is creating this GoFundMe on behalf of our co-worker and dear friend Jimi. Early on September 13th, 2025, Jimi's beloved mother passed on, his last living immediate family member. As Jimi begins to navigate this incredibly difficult time, we want to come together as a community to support him with the unexpected expenses that he will incur following his great loss. Additionally, Jimi’s 22nd birthday was on Tuesday, September 16th, 3 days after his mothers passing.
If you ever have had the chance to speak with Jimi or visit our store, you know how much joy, passion, and kindness he brings to everyone that he meets. Jimi goes above and beyond to make each customer and peer feel welcome, creating a warm and meaningful experience every time. His positivity and generosity are unmatched, and now we want to show that same love and support back to him.
If you are able to contribute anything big or small, it will make a difference. Most importantly, it will remind Jimi that he is not alone in this journey of grief and healing. Together, we can help ease his burden and show him how deeply he is cared for.
Some words from Jimi:
Words cannot describe the amount of appreciation I have for everyone that has reached out and or has made some type of connection with my family at this very trying time. Of note, thank you to Mom’s medical team from numerous specialists, internal medicine doctors, nurses, technicians, aides and social workers, housekeepers, receptionists, etc, who have made this 45+ day numerous location hospital stay like second homes.
To provide a little background, in June, my mother, Sheila Lynette McArtis Chavalaporn began experiencing abdominal pain that quickly worsened. By July 30th, a large mass was discovered, and weeks later, she was diagnosed with Stage 4B Metastatic Cancer. It had spread from her lower abdomen to several other places within her body including her lungs and brain. Despite minimal treatment efforts and moments of hope, her condition declined rapidly. Mom’s pain and discomfort subsided as she transitioned into the next phase early September 13th, 2025.
If you have known me and/or my family, financial assistance has never been something that we have directly requested especially in times of need. We assess. We regroup. We readjust. This time is different. With the deepest sincerity, our family requests your both your emotional and tangible support. Funds will be used for funeral arrangements, memorial services, transportation, etc… Further, if you had the pleasure of knowing my mother, please share any kind words or a fond memory. Peace & Love.
