Help with medical needs

Hello, this fundraiser is to help Michael Johnson for his medical care costs. Mike has always been one of the most generous people I have known giving his last dollar and I am hoping during this hard time of stage 4 colon cancer some of that can come around back to him. Mike has been fighting stage 4 colon cancer over a year now doing chemo every other week, when the chemo stopped working they changed him over to a targeted therapy medication. Right in the midst of this change Medicaid dropped him saying he does not qualify and he was only getting it because of the pandemic which they are not doing that anymore so all his treatment is paused for now. Mike no longer qualifies for Medicaid and can not begin Medicare until Aug. We have knocked on every door we could and will continue doing everything we can to keep him alive. Right now everything is out of pocket, palliative care, medications, doctors visits, imaging, etc. I was able to get him some insurance that will begin January 1st through Health market place but I was disappointed to find out he would have to pay the full deductible of 7000 before they would pay anything towards any doctors visits and following that he will still be responsible for 25 percent of his treatment. I am going to start taking steps towards seeing if we can get him into MD Anderson. That is a pretty long process as well and in the meantime anything you feel led to give would be beneficial. Mike has taken all this news with a positive attitude and continues to say, trust Jesus.
