Hey! My name is Hayden. I’m creating this go-fund-me for my mom Heather. She is an extremely hardworking woman with so much love and compassion in her heart.

Working her many jobs as a Zumba instructor, Piano Teacher, and Medical Administrator just to name a few and

having never really travelled or having the time off to enjoy herself; I thought I would give her the vacation of a lifetime and send her to Portugal to see some of the world and a nice visit to see her sister / my aunt who lives there.

At first, she was really enjoying her much needed vacation and was loving the experience. Then the trouble started. On the latter half of her week away she began to suffer some migraines and light sensitivity. Requiring lots of sleep and not being able to get out and enjoy much of anything. Things began to progress to the point where she was losing her vision and was unable to get around of her own accord.

On the day of her return flight home; she was at her worst and it was decided that she needed to seek medical attention and not get on that plane. Upon intake at the hospital, the staff quickly put together that the combination of migraines and loss of vision was no ordinary circumstance. Within minutes she was taken for a CT scan where it was revealed she had suffered not one, not two, but three brain aneurysms! None of which had burst yet but she was immediately placed in ICU care.

They decided the plan of action for her was to place a stent into the artery in her leg and try to increase the blood flow to her brain to relieve the aneurysms, while avoiding open brain surgery which is highly invasive with an extremely long recovery time.

Thank God the surgery went well, after waiting over a week in ICU care to actually get the stent to the hospital so they could proceed! She will be in the ICU in Lisbon for a minimum of 2 full weeks following that procedure before she is allowed to be discharged and hopefully then come home!

Weeks to months out of work while she is recovering is going to be a massive strain and I’m helping in every way I can but I fear it may not be enough. In creating this gofundme I’m reaching out in hopes that she may get some extra help to see her through whatever insurance doesn’t cover, her bills, and loss of income for the foreseeable future.
