Genesis Center Organizes Lemonade Stand to Raise Funds for New Outdoor Play Space

The Genesis Center’s Early Learning staff and children are hosting a lemonade stand to benefit their Outdoor Play Space Restoration Project on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  All donations to the lemonade stand will go directly towards improving the outdoor play space, a project partially funded by the Rhode Island Child Care Facilities Fund (RICCELFF).

Genesis Center has been selected for RICELFF’s Outdoor Play Interventions Pilot Program and is one of two sites that have been chosen for a Blue Cross Blue Shield Volunteer Day of Service.  The Center is seeking additional funds to realize its plans for a beautified, inspiring outdoor play environment that is thoughtfully designed for early learners!

Offering both Head Start and Early Head Start services as well as Therapeutic Child Care Services, Genesis Center serves approximately 100 children between the ages of 6 weeks- 5 years annually, with 97% identifying as at risk.

The children have been practicing their lemonade making skills and are looking forward to serving ice cold glasses of lemonade, and are even more excited by the idea of a new playground!

Genesis Center is accepting tax deductible donations towards this project via their website at www.gencenter.org, please donate now.
