Helping Heather

February 2023 Update:

Many thanks to all who have pitched in so far for our friend Heather! While recovering from her hysterectomy Heather was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and the double mastectomy is on hold. Once chemo is complete Heather will undergo surgery followed by an oral medication. Heather is the best, plain and simple. Yet, there are still bills to pay and Heather isn't working nearly as much as she did prior to her diagnosis. One cannot survive on good vibes alone. We very much appreciate any donation you can make.

October 2022:

Our beloved friend recently received news that she will need a full hysterectomy in a few short weeks. After that, a double mastectomy in the Fall after she has healed from the first procedure.

 

The good news is she has medical insurance. The bad news is she will be unable to work for a minimum of one month following each surgery. If you have the pleasure of knowing Heather personally, you know she works a lot; and at multiple jobs! Our goal is to raise the funds needed for two months of her household bills in order to take the monetary stress off her plate so she can heal and focus on her own well-being.

It is time for us to rally together and help the last person who would ask. Heather needs us. It’s safe to say we have all been the recipient of Heather’s kindness, generosity, and caring nature at one point or another. Now is our turn to return the favor.
