Stronger Together for Priscilla Bonica
Many of you know Priscilla as a strong, charismatic, 18 year old student athlete who has just graduated from Quincy High School. Priscilla has recently been diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
HLH is a rare life threatening blood condition that signals the immune system to go into attack mode. The bodies defense team destroys healthy cells, causing chaos and uncontrolled inflammation throughout the body. In Priscilla's case, the attack is mostly against her brain cells. She has had transfusions and is prescribed an intense treatment regimen to suppress her immune system. Although Priscilla is currently receiving treatments, she is still in need of a life saving bone marrow transplant.
The Bonica Family is going to need your help! During her treatments, and hopeful bone marrow transplant, Priscilla's family will incur steep financial strain. This family is deeply involved in the Quincy community through school and youth athletics and are always willing to give back to others in need.
It's our time to support this amazing family. The funds donated will aid the family with medical expenses, transportation and parking during appointments & hospitalization, loss of salary from employment and help ease any additional financial burden brought upon the family, so they may focus on successful treatment for Priscilla.
Steve and Erin are going through a parents worst nightmare. This family is not one to ask for help, but is so deserving of relief we could bring. Please open your hearts and donate whatever you can, every little bit helps.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can provide, reinforcing the love we share for Priscilla and a reminder that she is not alone in this difficult time !
