This charity and, specifically Ileana's story grabbed a hold of me and has not let go. As most of you know I have been a part of the running community and and have had a deep love for the sport for many years now. After completing my first marathon I was both overwhelmed with a feeling of accomplishment and totally humbled at how difficult the entire process was for me. I have not had a reason to decided to run another full marathon until I came across Ileana and her story. I have been too afraid, but I want to conquer that fear for Ileana. I want to run for her. So I am asking you to reach out and do this with me. I'm asking you to reach out to the children who need protection. I'm asking you to help me show us all what is possible for one person to do when they ask for the love of others. I have been lucky enough to raise my daughter in a place that offers us such opportunity and safety, and I want to give back to those children and families that are not as fortunate to have those basic human rights. I will be donating 100% of the money donated to Love Light and Melody. I will be taking on all of the costs to run and train and I will be starting off by donating $100. With my donation and the suggested prices below we could raise $2000 and so much awareness!!
