PUPS ON A PLANE ✈️: Humane Society of Grand Bahama
Tax deductible
My name is Barbara Helman and I am launching this campaign for the pups (potcakes ) in Freeport Bahamas at the Humane Society of Grand Bahama.
Currently the Bahamas are being ravaged by Hurricane Dorian. They are the ONLY animal welfare organization on the island, housing 135 dogs, 70 cats, and dozens of abandoned pets, some even left tied to trees outside of the shelter before Dorian hit. Five brave volunteers stayed behind during the storm, and although the status at the shelter still remains, the last post being 4:29 yesterday, rescue efforts are already underway in Florida.
Non-profit animal rescue H.A.L.O. located in Sebastian, FL has secured two planes to fly once it is safe to bring supplies to the shelter, send in volunteers, and transport cats & dogs back to Florida. And the best part: Humane Society of Grand Bahama currently has a generous donor willing to MATCH ALL DONATIONS - NO LIMIT!!!
I designated H.A.L.O. as the direct beneficiary so all funds go to the Humane Society of Grand Bahama shelter to be matched. And unlike the Humane Society U.S. they do not have any overhead, so every dollar will be used for the rescue effort & transport. One plane trip costs $2000 therefor a $1000 goal means we helped to save up to 100 dogs! Now that’s a flight I want to be on. ✈️
Please share, copy, and if possible, any amount of donation would mean the world to me. Also fellow Floridians interested in adopting one of these precious Potcakes please let me know and I will get you in touch with the local H.A.L.O. organizer. Thank you everyone and I will give any available updates on the shelter and rescue mission. ❤️ All donations are tax deductible under Tax ID 20-8466866
