Nepal-TCE Helps Deep's Family

By now we all have heard about the devastation that occurred in Nepal this past Saturday April 25th.  The toll on lives lost and changed continues to climb as the hours tick by.  Countless residents have lost everything they had and are struggling to get by each day with bare essentials as the world tries to mobilize and lend aid.

Deep Khadka, is a data scientist within the TCE team. His parents are in Nepal and were dramatically affected by this disaster.  They not only lost their home, but the entire town they resided in was destroyed by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck.

Prices of food and water have skyrocketed as the demand far outweighs supplies and the situation worsens.  The Government of Nepal (GoN) has declared a state of emergency and requested international assistance. 

We his peers in TCE are facilitating this effort to organize support for Deep’s parents, so that they can purchase necessary provisions to sustain themselves while relief efforts continue to rally.  It is at times like these we look to our common humanity which bonds us together to help the people in need.  Any contribution you make will be heart fully appreciated by Deep and his parents.
