My name is Nils Skudra and I am looking for a little help.

I am a Senior at UC Berkeley majoring in history and have just one more semester to go. But my scholarships have all been depleted and my family cannot afford this final semester. Further, I cannot take any more loans from Cal. 

I am in need of $7,000 to get my BA in History.

Although there are many 1,000’s of people like me that also need help, I hope you find my story worthy of your support.

We all have life challenges, but it seems that I have been faced with more than my fair share. I work extra hard to not let them hold me back. My dedication to education and volunteerism in my community continually inspire me to work hard and be thankful for what I have achieved so far in life. Soon I am starting a paid internship at Ala Costa Centers in  Berkeley to help meet my funding need.

I maintain at 4.0 GPA at UC Berkeley. Besides working hard at my studies, I also serve as an intern for the Center for Independent Living. I have also been a volunteer at many organizations in the Albany area (near Berkeley.) Also, I have been a tutor for other students in history at UC Berkeley as well as a teacher’s assistant at local elementary schools.

My passions are the Civil War, theater and art. Below are a few of my paintings for your enjoyment.
